MINIATURE DIORAMA
February 2012 | 14x8x5inch box, 1:12inch

My very first diorama that got me infatuated with miniatures and is therefore sort of close to the heart. The project was a way to express my views on human intellectual depravity, where the basement is used to convey that most good things in the world are buried, locked away and ignored. The basement is filled with symbolic elements that represent all that’s good and inspiring in the world - concepts of time, infinity, science, folklore, history, philosophy, psychology, literature, art. The blindfolded humans climbing the stairs are used to depict the humans who ignore the things to be observed and studied around them, instead constantly searching for an elusive “meaning of life” that they'll never let themselves find.
